Departure from Oruro, Potosi or Uyuni. Arrive at the Livichuco community for lunch. After lunch, the members of the community will explain how the fabrics are made. The Livichuco community is renowned throughout Bolivia for its know-how and the quality of its crafts. You can then take a stroll around the community. In the evening, you'll taste K'alaphurka, the traditional soup of the region, cooked with hot pebbles plunged directly into the pot. Afterwards, local musicians will give you a demonstration of their typical local music and dance.

After breakfast, you'll set off on a short hike of around 6 km, following an ancient Inca trail that was once used by Simon Bolivar himself. You'll cross a number of low stone walls and admire the many llamas and alpacas that inhabit the region. Your guide will also tell you all about the local flora and fauna. At the top, you'll have a lovely view of the region, the altiplano and the arid landscapes of the region. You will then return to the village for lunch. After lunch, you will leave the community and head for Oruro, Uyuni or Potosi.
