Departure for the mission of San José de Chiquitos, lunch and check-in at Hotel La Villa Chiquitana. A lovely hotel with a touch of Provence! (4h30 to 5h drive). During your stay, you will visit various cultural pascanas along the SaboreArte Chiquitos route. You will enjoy a cultural experience in the homes of local Chiquitania artists and artisans, where you will learn different craft techniques and sample local gastronomy. After lunch on the terrace, meet Juanita and her wood-burning stove at the pascana "La Siesta del Posoka". She will teach you how to bake rice bread, cook mate in the traditional way and enjoy it with "Pan de arroz". Departure for the village of Chochis (1h00 drive) to discover the imposing red stone tower known as the "Davide Tower". At its foot stands the sanctuary of the Virgin Mariano de la Torre or Sanctuary of Chochis, adorned with beautiful wood carvings. A haven of peace at the foot of the Chiquitos mountain range, it bears witness to the legacy left by the Jesuits. Then it's back on the road to Tucaba Park (1h00), a nature reserve surrounded by greenery and mountains. We take a beautiful hike (1h30, accessible to all) to the Antesala del Cielo viewpoint. We then head for Santiago de Chiquitos (20 minutes) for lunch and a visit to the Santiago de Chiquitos church, part of the Misiones Jesuites. We end the day in Aguas Calientes, where we enjoy a relaxing bath in the healing thermal waters. At the end of this tour, we return to the hotel (2h30), where you can enjoy the magnificent swimming pool.

In the morning, visit the church of San José de Chiquitos, accompanied by Friné Torric, a professional restorer. Guided tour of the stone church and the mission museum with its unique murals. The mission houses paintings dating back over 300 years. This is also where you will learn about the Jesuit organization. Afterwards, you will visit another cultural pascana to continue sharing with the artisans. You'll meet Pythagoras and his pascana "La Tranquera". He will show you step by step how to make the traditional Abuelo masks, made from the roots of the Toco tree. These masks are derived from the Abuelos Chiquitanos dance, in which they mock the "white men". You'll also taste the famous chicha, made from corn, peanuts, manioc or rice, sometimes with the addition of fruit. Enjoy a gourmet 4-course lunch featuring local specialties. We continue with a visit to Bodega Daroca, the best place to learn about the traditional methods of making wine and Singani.
